How to Measure Bra Size: Due to a lack of information and hesitation, many women keep wearing the wrong innerwear for years and face many health-related problems in the future. The most common is shoulder and back pain, so if you want to stay away from these problems, it is very important to wear a properly fitting bra.
Experts believe that wearing a properly fitting bra is important because breasts are made of thin tissues; they do not have bones, and wearing a bra that is too tight can damage these tissues. It is even more important for growing girls to wear the right size bra because not getting proper support can spoil the shape of the breast, so in this article, we will understand how to measure the right size of bra.
Tips on How to Measure Bra Size
Check size by wearing a comfortable, non-padded bra
To check your bra size, wear a non-padded and comfortable bra while taking measurements. While taking measurements, keep in mind that your breast tissue should not be loose at all but should be raised upwards.
Measure the band
When the band and cup size of the bra is according to your body, it gives you the right support and shape. Whatever your band size, you should buy a bra of that size. Band size means the part above the waist below the breast, so while measuring it, the tape should not be kept too loose nor too tight. The tape has to be kept in such a way that you can breathe easily. If this number is odd, then 5 has to be added to it and if it is even, then 4 has to be added to it. For example, if the band size is 29 then add 5 pairs and if the band size is 28 then add 4 pairs. That will be your bra size.
How to know the cup size
Along with knowing the band size, it is also important to know the cup size. Stand straight and measure the most protruding part of the breast with a tape. Reduce your band size from whatever size you get. You will get the measurement of cup size. If band size is 28+4 = 32, then cup size is 34 (fuller breast measurement) – 32 = 2.
